December 1, 2025Dec 1 With tons of money and a clear need to expand their global footprint, buying DC Comics and Studios seems like a perfect strat for China's comic and cartoon giants to leapfrog ahead of Netflix, Sony, Crunchyroll, Disney, and others.
December 4, 2025Dec 4 Author Well it looks like it's going to Netflix or Paramount ... either of which will probably further draw DC Comics away from its comic book roots and more to the IP content cache that is has increasingly become. My hopes were that someone --- anyone --- would buy DC Comics and just let it be a comic book company again.
December 4, 2025Dec 4 CB Team Sadly, I don't think that even a foreign purchase would have allowed for that to happen. The content machine makes too much money.
