What did you think of the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 finale?

FWIW, I thought the finale was pretty great. Like most of Thrones' finales, it was more wrap-up and epilogue style than anything bombastic, but it nailed most of the major character beats - everything between Dunk and Maekar, in particular, was superb. The only thing I disliked was the very ending with Maekar's "where the fuck is he?" line - I thought the idea of him letting Egg go with Dunk, after that "last son" speech, was really powerful and poignant, and this completely undercut the emotion for humour (needlessly so, as it's not in the book).

The humour is one of the iffier things of the entire season (some good, some bad), but on the whole I absolutely loved this, am so glad it'll be back for S2 next year, and would gladly watch another dozen or so seasons of Dunk and Egg

I thought this whole season was great, exactly the tone that I want from the game of thrones universe right now. And the ending after the new title card, I genuinely lol’d

I loved it! It definitely slowed things down after episode 5, but that was needed and it really just felt like a fitting conclusion to this chapter and beginning of the next. I've really just enjoyed the show as a whole. It's definitely different that GoT and HotD, but I think it's a really enjoyable, easy watch.

I thought it was solid but not mind-blowing. Definitely has potential to be something special, depending on how it is carried in follow-up seasons.
