What Is This Feeling deserves a mention too because it’s beautifully performed and adds humor to what can be a heavy story. Cynthia and Ariana have such great chemistry.

Thank Goodness/ I Couldn’t Be Happier is another standout and similarly to No One Mourns the Wicked it taps into that experience of being completely miserable, mourning and alone but having to put on a mask to make everyone around you feel safe. Wicked deals with many themes of loneliness and isolation and in its music it captures it best.

Another favorite is No One Mourns the Wicked. In addition to being hauntingly beautiful it sets up the story in such an interesting way and immediately let me know I was in for a great journey.

For Good is my favorite song from the movie and has been from the production for years because it describes the deep love and impression some people leave on your life for the better. The way it was sung in the movie added to what I already thought was a phenomenal number.
