Sick of Extraction Shooters
Might just not be the vibe for you rn, I'm pretty geeked up over Marathon, Arc Raiders, and Tarky, but it's not the same feel as other gun games. There's a built in anxiety to it, coming in with your gear you very easily could lose to any amount of BS, big maps usually with plenty of hiding spots for camping/ratting, it's a lot. I've had to paint my nails to keep them out of my mouth between raids until they come back, but the adrenaline dump you get from wiping a team and taking their stuff keeps me queuing. Nothing wrong with it not being your wave though, Arc Raiders might be super popping rn but other games are far from dead, shoot Age of Mythology, an RTS from like 2 decades ago, still has people in queue. WoW just released a new xpac, Slay The Spire 2 dropped on the same day as Marathon, and if you want an arena shooter Halo and Splitgate still have plenty of people playing. No need to force yourself to play the latest trendy game if it doesnt click, if you feel like you gave it a fair shake and it's not scratching that itch, move on, different strokes yk?

My Hot Take
There's definitely some designs that lack that "umph" Popplio, Chimchar, and Chikorita were mons I never really vibed with. All their evolutions were cool enough but I couldn't get myself to pick them over their competition, Popplio<Rowlet/Litten, Chimchar<Turtwig/Piplup, and Chikorita was never gonna take the spotlight from Totodile and Cyndaquil, not even the anime could save Chikorita imo.

The Pirates of Dark Water needs a reboot
I said what I said. For real though it's a really fun story from my childhood and I feel like there's plenty to work with lore-wise to stretch out the story and fill out at least 5 seasons. The original run was cut short leaving the main quest incomplete. I go back and forth on whether this show's abrubt end or the D&D cartoon's was more disappointing. Gotta treat Konk with respect though, can't be letting Tim Curry down. Idk, maybe it's just nostalgia but the idea of a sentient slime roaming the ocean and sinking ships is a pretty sick idea. If the people handling the ip wanted to make it more geared for adults they could make the dark water do some gorey stuff a la The Raft from Creepshow 2.
