35th Anniversary Leak Megathread: Frontiers Definitive, "Sonic 2026," Sonic Unleashed remaster and the PR Crossover?!

Is anyone else losing their absolute minds after the latest rumors for the 2026 Sonic Central? We are officially in the 35th Anniversary year, and it feels like SEGA is finally firing on all cylinders. I’ve been scouring the leaks, and I had to put my "Definitive Wishlist" into words.

1. Sonic Frontiers: Definitive Edition (The "Switch 2" Savior) We all know the original Frontiers was held back by the hardware. My letter to SEGA is simple: Fix the pop-in. If the Switch 2 is as powerful as they say, I want to see those rails from across the map. Also, give us a "Super Sonic Free-Roam" mode after 100% completion. Let us actually fly between the islands! And for the love of Chaos, please integrate the Final Horizon story beats better so the ending doesn't feel like two different games stitched together.

2. The New Mainline Game (Project "Eclipse") The rumors about Sonic Eclipse having a global scale have me hyped. My big wish here is Team Gameplay. Sonic x Shadow Generations proved SEGA knows how to make different playstyles feel modern. I want a game where Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles actually feel like a unit again, not just NPCs waiting for Sonic to finish the boss fight. If the "Day/Night" cycle rumor is real, let’s hope it’s more Breath of the Wildand less Unleashed Werehog (though I secretly love the Werehog, don't @ me).

3. Sonic x Power Rangers (The Crossover We Need) I saw the IDW teaser art in the new comic, it’s a missed opportunity. Imagine a Mighty Morphin' Sonic skin or a Metal Sonic/Goldar boss fight. We’ve had DC and Godzilla—Power Rangers is the logical next step for the 90s nostalgia peak.

4. Sonic Movie 4: The Metal Era With Movie 3 killing it at the box office, Movie 4 needs to go hard. My wishlist? Stardust Speedway. I want to see a cinematic, neon-soaked race between Movie Sonic and Metal Sonic. Also, now that Amy Rose is confirmed (Kristen Bell is such a win), I really hope they don't sideline her. Give us the "Pink Fury" we deserve!

I think a Sonic Unleashed remaster would feature a side story with Knuckles or Amy, rewrite and redub by current voice actors.

What do you guys think? Is 2026 going to be the biggest year for the Blue Blur, or are we setting ourselves up for a "06" level heartbreak?
