I've always thought Mr. Terrific had one of the coolest superhero designs, but the "Fair Play" on his jacket has always made me curious. It seems like such a specific choice, and I've wondered if it has a deeper meaning tied to his character or if it was simply meant to represent his personal values. Has DC ever explained the reason behind it, or is it something that's mostly left up to interpretation?

My understanding was that it was his personal motto - and had to do with how to apply his powers and act as a superhero in the world.

I hadn't really thought about it that way, but that actually fits his character really well. It always seemed like more than just a design on the jacket, and using it as his personal motto makes a lot of sense. Thanks for pointing that out I learned something new today.

Thinking about it more and more, I'm really starting to appreciate the concept behind using "Fair Play" as a personal slogan for Mr. Terrific. It adds so much more substance to the logo and makes the slogan a vital component of who Mr. Terrific is, instead of just being slapped on his clothing. In addition, the Fair Play Mr Terrific Leather Jacket seems like a good-looking piece of clothing, since the writing makes it clear that it is inspired by Mr. Terrific.
