Hot Take: Deadpool is more superior than Wolverine

Featured Replies

Alright, hear me out on this hot take: Deadpool is way more superior than Wolverine.

First, let's talk about their healing abilities. Deadpool's regeneration is absolutely ridiculous. He can recover from injuries that would kill most people, and his healing factor has allowed him to survive some truly insane situations. He has even had encounters with Death herself. There have been times when Deadpool has technically died, but he's notoriously difficult to keep dead. In one storyline, Thanos actually cursed Deadpool so that he couldn't die because of Deadpool's relationship with Death.

Now, Wolverine also has an incredibly powerful healing factor, so I'll give him that. Logan can regenerate damaged tissue and even recover from extremely severe injuries. However, Deadpool's regeneration is still one of the most absurd healing factors in Marvel, and that's a major advantage for the Merc with a Mouth.

Then there's the fourth wall breaking.

Deadpool can literally acknowledge that he's a fictional character and interact with the audience and the story itself. Marvel even describes Deadpool as one of the characters who takes the fourth wall and its creative possibilities the furthest. Wolverine can't do that. Checkmate. 😂

And let's talk about combat.

Deadpool is an expert hand-to-hand fighter, an extremely skilled swordsman, and an expert with firearms. He can run into a fight with two swords, a couple of guns, and absolutely no regard for his own safety. His unpredictable fighting style makes him incredibly difficult to deal with.

Wolverine is obviously an incredible fighter, and I'm not denying that. The man has decades upon decades of combat experience, an adamantium skeleton, and six claws that can turn just about anything into a bad day.

But are we really going to compare that to the Great DP?

Deadpool has regeneration, insane durability, extensive combat skills, swords, guns, unpredictable tactics, and—most importantly—the ability to literally mess with the rules of the story.

Wolverine may be the best there is at what he does.

But Deadpool?

Deadpool is the best there is at being an absolute menace.

This is why I think Deadpool is far superior to Wolverine.

Trust me, bro.

I’m still taking Wolverine. 😂 Deadpool might be harder to kill and definitely wins when it comes to breaking the rules, but if we’re talking about who I’d want on my side in an actual fight, I’m going with Logan. Experience, adamantium skeleton, claws and a healing factor are pretty hard to bet against.

I mean you make a fair point. I guess you also probably don't want someone cracking jokes every second on the team. That, I guess can get annoying which is one of the reasons why they will never let him in the avengers 😂 I mean they already have to deal with Spider-Man jokes, however, at least Spidey knows when a joke goes too far ☠️

Anyways, always Team Deadpool!

I wouldn't be able to take the constant jokes after a while my son does that too 😂
