Gambit is one of the X-Men characters I'm most interested in seeing when Marvel eventually introduces its new X-Men team, and I'm really curious who they'll choose to play him.

As someone from Louisiana, one thing I really hope they get right is the accent. It would be nice to see an actor who can do it naturally, or even someone actually from Louisiana. Gambit's background is such a big part of the character that I hope they embrace it without exaggerating the accent to the point where it sounds ridiculous.

Obviously, the actor still has to capture everything else that makes Gambit who he is, but I'd love to see Marvel really embrace his Louisiana roots. If they do it right, I could see him carrying his own solo movie.
