Trying to remember the name of a comic series
When I was about 13-15, making it forty years ago, a friend handed me a stack of comic books that were on long story. It was one of the most satisfying and compelling storylines ever, but I've never seen it before or since. I have very little to go on except that it was around 1985 and the heroes, and I believe villains as well, were all insectoid and they had very close bonds with the fully insect steeds.I think it was tied to an action figure line, but the story arc was awesome and moving. Anyone recognize what I'm remembering?

Welcome to the ComicBook Forum: Come Say Hello!
Hello all, I'm 56 and I've been reading comic books for fifty of those years. My local library had thousands of comics and would let you check out ten at a time, or they often bound ten comic books together and you could check out five of those. You can imagine how often I was there...it's fun to see where it's all gone today and I look forward to what comes.

Watchmen Article by Pecau
I just wanted to drop a quick opinion here. As a former journalist and a six decade long comic book fan I was really impressed by this article. The Watchmen have always fascinated, and to some extent disturbed, me and this article did a lot to connect 40 years worth of musing about them together cohesively. Collectively these listed plot points go a long way in explaining both the comics cultural impact and their impact on me. For a fifteen year old with Silver Surfer and Elfquest posters in his room Watchmen blew my mind wide open and seeing their top crazy moments grouped and discussed in a serious and intellectual way really opened my eyes and mind. Thanks to the author, the website and, of course, to the superheroes.
