Sadly, there's no way this series dies anytime soon, it has too much brand recognition to be able to take any generic supernatural thriller and retrofit it to fit in The Conjuring franchise. I get what you're saying, though, that other than having "Last" in the title, they're not doing much to make this a sendoff to Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

Feels like there's been so many spinoffs in this series that I totally forgot the "final" Conjuring is right around the corner. Is there really any interest in this franchise anymore? Consensus seems like the first two Conjuring movies are good, the rest of the movies are "not bad" to "bad."

Yeah, it's good, but the legacy of The Dark Knight loomed too heavily over this, and The Avengers being such a huge, fun hit earlier that summer didn't help how dour TDKR is.

Another question is, by the time it releases, will anyone really care?

Batman Returns has 1) Christmas 2) Paul Reubens and 3) Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. BR is the winner!

My big takeaway from Man of Steel was that giant dubstep machine that tried to dubstep Earth to death.

Damn you're missing out on like three seasons of great television (and a few more seasons of not-as-great television).

Thoughts? Definitely worked for me overall, but that premise had so much more creepy potential that I wasn't as shocked with how things wrapped up as I was with Barbarian. But at least it wasn't a reboot/remake/legacyquel!

How's everyone feeling after this first week? I know a lot of folks thought Alien: Romulus stuck too closely to the Alien formula, so I'm excited with the directions the show is already going. Given the new forms of alien it's already introduced, I feel like this is just the tip of the iceberg of how wild it's going to get.

Who needs a LOST sequel series when we already got The Leftovers?
