Special Pokemon anime project suggestion.

Featured Replies

To the team at ComicBook.com,

I'm writing to suggest an idea for a special Pokémon anime project, separate from "Pokémon Horizons." Given the recent interest in classic series, I believe there's a great opportunity for a new English dub of the original "Pokémon" anime.

My suggestion is for a new redub by Studiopolis that would be a more faithful adaptation while still being suitable for all ages. This would involve a script that removes any inappropriate dialogue, scenes, or swear words, ensuring it remains completely kid-friendly.

I would also love to see the original Japanese openings and endings with English credits and new English singers, creating a unique hybrid of both Japanese and English productions. It would be important to honor the legacy of both the 4Kids and Viz Media releases while creating a fresh, modern take.

For the voice cast, I'd like to suggest:

  • Ash Ketchum: Erica Mendez

  • Misty: Cherami Leigh

  • Brock: Robbie Daymond

  • Gary Oak: Zeno Robinson

  • Team Rocket: Cristina Vee (Jessie), Ben Diskin (James), and Keith Silverstein (Meowth)

  • Professor Oak: Ben Diskin

  • Delia Ketchum: Suzie Yeung

  • Giovanni: Patrick Seitz

Thank you for your time and for considering this suggestion. I believe a project like this would be a wonderful way to introduce the original series to a new generation of fans while also appealing to long-time viewers.

Sincerely,

Comicbookfan101

I replied to your other thread as well.

This is a cool and well-thought out project. Some solid picks (and a few interesting ones) in your cast list.

This is going to be a fresh take!
