This popped into my mind after a response @FantasticJerome made in another discussion thread. It got me thinking about all the comics and manga I’ve read over the years, and whether any of them had a truly compelling story arc or overarching plot that made them must-read for an entire year. While some story arcs can last a full year, many don’t, so it seems you’d need at least two strong arcs to keep a reader actively engaged for that long. With that in mind, I pose this question to the brain trust.

Once & Future was great from beginning to end, telling one longer story, and Something Is Killing the Children and TMNT have also had longer stories that have been good for that long. Absolute Wonder Woman has also had great mini arcs over the year period, so I think there are a few out there for sure.
