What's your favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer story?

Let's face it, Buffy's always going to be a classic show. But what do you think was the pick of the crop? My personal favorite will always be "Once More With Feeling," just because of that wonderfully subversive approach to the musical episode.

Well, I think "The Body" is the absolute best thing the show ever did ("Hush" and "Once More..." are up there, but it's just so much more impactful), but there's a difference between best and favourite. For that I'd go with one of these two-parters: "Surprise"/"Innocence" or "Becoming - Part 1 & 2", the latter of which I think has the most defining moment of the show and Buffy as a hero: "No weapons, no friends. No hope. Take all that away and what's left?" "Me."

If expanding out into the Buffyverse, I also have to give a shoutout to Angel's "I Will Remember You," which I simply adore and it gets me right in the chest every single time, without fail, for over 20 years now.

Yes, everything I've picked is Buffy & Angel-related, and no, that's not a coincidence.

VERY fair point about the difference between best and favorite! "The Body" is absolutely phenomenal, but not exactly light viewing :P

And that line still gives me chills!
