I'm getting really tired of James Tynion IV's W0rldtr33

This weekend, I finally read the latest W0rldtr33 issue, and the series is losing me. I usually like Tunion, and while he has a cinematic approach to comic books, he often manages to deliver engaging comic book stories that are appropriate to the medium. Then, there's W0rldtr33.

There are currently three separate timelines. There are FIVE key groups of characters, each group with multiple individuals, each individual with different motivations, backstories, and goals... As a result, the issues just chose to ignore part of the story, simply because you can't fit everything in a reduced number of pages. What's worse is that, 18 issues in, I still don't know exactly what the main story is. Is it the W0rldtr33 members' efforts to prevent the apocalypse? Or is it the post-apocalypse story of rebuilding the world? It's like Tynion can't choose and keep changing the focus, while ignoring the characters we were told were central in the first arc. The pacing has been quite bad on this series, and the fact not even Tynion can keep track of everything (like how many children a character has, or what's her husband's name) suggests he might have lost control of this one...

I usually give up on Tynion stories a handful of issues in so I didn't even start this one. I don't know, I feel like there are a lot of very talented and good writers out there that have great ideas and styles who could SERIOUSLY benefit from a strong editorial hand to keep them on track -- and Tynion is near the top of that list.

Yeah, I agree. Tynion is a great writer, he's absolutely amazing with dialogue and character... But when it comes to long arcs, he often loses himself and then goes after the next shining thing. Things like Nice House work better, imo, because the arcs are self-contained.
