How are we feeling about crimson desert coming out? I’ve seen so many games similar to this, and while yes, I think the gameplay looks amazing so far, I am very skeptical on if the story will be engaging at all. Maybe it’s because the game seems too good to be true? Thoughts?

I'm definitely looking forward to checking it out. With so many of these open-world games leaning into custom characters, it'll be interesting to see what they do with a more fixed protagonist. In theory that could lead to better storytelling since it won't be a scaled-back self-insert avatar. But it definitely feels like they've focused less on the story than other elements when promoting the game, so no idea how it'll go.

I'm pretty excited about Crimson Desert but I'm definitely reserving my expectations just a bit. Story is one of those reasons. They haven't shown off much of its narrative just yet and it makes me think it'll be pretty shallow. I hope I'm wrong.
