I was not a fan of this week's Batman (Matt Fraction)

I like the series overall, and the art is breathtaking (thank you, Jorge Jimenez!). That said, I still can't tell where the series is going, and I definitely didn't like its approach to the Joker. Every time someone tries to explain why the Joker is the Joker, that takes away from the character, in my opinion. Giving Joker this ultra-rational personality and all the meta-scientific explanations for why he is how he is just didn't work for me.

What did you think?

I think the Joker as a character is just too overdone at this point. We don't need him to be explained, he probably can't be explained anyway since everyone has their own idea about him as it is. I've reached a place where I wish Batman stories weren't so reliant on him.

Same here. And in the case of Fraction's run, removing the Joker wouldn't damage it at all! I absolutely loved the Croc issue, and I wish the series would stick closer to that idea of villains struggling with their wicked nature.
