Forum Upgrade (& Maintenance) on Wednesday, April 29th: Thanos Community Quest, New Features, & Epic Prizes

This is a PSA to inform you that we'll be taking the forum offline on Wednesday, April 29th for a major upgrade that will introduce new features, fun events, and crossover posting with the main site comment section. We should only be down for part of the day but we'll update this post with specific times once we lock them in.

Main Takeways:

Downtime Planned on April 29th. The forum will be offline during the scheduled upgrade. We’ll provide an updated timeline soon but expect downtime on the forum in the morning of April 29th – until all updates and new features are implemented.
Cross-posting between the forum and the comment section of the site will be live on select articles/topics once the forum comes back online on April 29th. This means forum comments will appear on select comment sections under articles and similarly, comments from the same thread will appear here in the forum. Not all comment sections will have crossposting (some will still have Disqus) - because we don't want to flood the forum with every article/comment.
We're introducing timed-exclusive quests on the forum where you can all work together to unlock event badges and enter exclusive contests. The first one is Infinity Gauntlet-inspired and you can actually start the quest line now. I'll do a separate post when it officially launches - but the quest runs from April 29th to May 30th.
- Every registered commenter and forum user automatically earns an empty Infinity Gauntlet badge – the starting point to earning additional Infinity Stone-themed badges for completing various tasks on-site and/or on the forum.
- Each stone is tied to a unique milestone and collecting every single stone unlocks a legendary-tier Mad Titan badge that will not be available in the future and, better yet, automatically enrolls anyone with that badge into an exclusive drawing where a lucky winner will receive one of two prizes:
  - An actual Marvel: Legends Series – Infinity Gauntlet Articulated Electronic Fist (which is no longer available for purchase at retail).
    OR
  - A PSA graded copy of The Infinity Gauntlet #1 comic book.
- Badges are displayed on a user’s forum profile – and, in the near future, we’ll be adding functionality that allows you to pin your favorites and show them off on the main site as well whenever you comment.

- Details of how to earn each stone will be crowdsourced in a community thread here on the forum – but I'll be following along just in case we need to give some hints.
- Looking ahead: June’s quest line will be Supergirl and Lobo-themed.
Prizes for the week of April 29th. As you all know, we host weekly giveaways on the forum and we've saved some truly awesome prizes for our relaunch. Starting on April 29th, I'll be posting two new giveaways with prizes detailed below:
- The Ultra-Realistic Life-Sized Stitch from Hot Toys (a $215 value)
- The Harry Potter GoChess Wizard Chess Set from Particula (a $429.95 value)

Those are the biggest points to know as we head into re-launch week.
