June 24Jun 24 CB Team This is definitely one of my more anticipated movies of the fall. Maybe Cruise can finally get his Best Actor win?Some of my favorite Cruise movies are his non-action roles, so I'm excited to see him get back to making these kinds of films.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't get an Oscar nomination if it's as good as it looks/sounds, and while I think that's going to be a stacked category next year with several "they're overdue" candidates, the narrative around him finally getting one might be hard to beat

If Digger is good, the Cruise narrative is gonna be super hard to beat. Could be a souped up version of when Leo was up for The Revenant because Cruise has been at this since the early '80s and hasn't won one yet.

I can see a few with sort of similar cases - Damon, Malkovich if he's lead, Turturro to a degree - plus then a few other heavyweights and rising stars will be in contention, like Gosling, but... Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise. Also, aside from him, the rest of Digger's cast is STACKED as well.
