August 17Aug 17 I will always have a love/hate relationship with GTA IV. I skipped 2 days of school to complete the Rockstar challenge (100% completion within the first week of release) and obtained a physical key to Liberty City. It's one of my proudest moments of my gaming history. A few months later, PlayStation rolled out the system update that introduced the trophy achievements. Unfortunately, it was not retro active, so I didn't get anything for completing GTA IV.... 😔

August 17Aug 17 I still have GTA 4 as the high bar of this series because of how relatable the characters were (Niko, Roman, and others) plus how expansive the DLCs were.
August 17Aug 17 Grand Theft AutoSan Andreas deserves to be remembered as one of the greatest games of its generation because, back in 2004, it felt like more than just a game it felt like an entire world you could get lost in. From following CJ’s unforgettable journey to exploring three massive cities, customizing your character, hitting the gym, driving almost anything you could find, and discovering endless side activities, San Andreas gave players a level of freedom that was incredible for its time. Add in the legendary soundtrack, memorable characters, hilarious moments, and an open world packed with personality, and you had an experience that was way ahead of its era. Plenty of games have gotten bigger and more realistic since then, but few have captured that same sense of freedom and adventure.
