15 hours ago15 hr CB Team One thing I've noticed after years of reading comics is how difficult it has become to take a major character's death seriously. We've seen so many heroes and villains die, only to return a few months or years later. Sometimes there's a great story behind their resurrection, but other times it feels like the death was only meant to create a temporary shock.I understand why publishers bring popular characters back. Nobody really expects Marvel or DC to permanently retire some of their biggest names. But I do wonder whether constantly reversing these deaths takes something away from the stories themselves. For me, a character's death can still be meaningful if the consequences stick, even when the character eventually returns. It's when everything goes right back to normal that the original story starts to lose some of its impact. What do you think? Have comic book deaths lost their meaning, or can they still be powerful even when we know the character will probably return? And which comic book death or resurrection do you think was handled particularly well or poorly?
