November 8, 2025Nov 8 I don't remember “Run Lola Run” in spite of it being a successful movie on a low budget with a twist. Maybe you, like me, have never seen this movie or forgotten it? Well, don't feel bad because not everyone draws a blank if it's mentioned. Specifically, the streaming services, who have it safely ensconced behind paywalls along with many more easily recognizable older movies that have been readily available outside prime time but have little commercial value until now. Some greedy genius discovered that beside ever-increasing, unconscionable, subscription fees they could double-dip by putting a paywall stacked behind the charge for admission and further line their pockets at your expense. What they're charging to see these films now may well exceed what it would have cost you to view this movie in a theater, with popcorn, in their heyday. Are these movies any more or less accessible now than they were when you found them on some obscure TV channel after midnight for free?
November 8, 2025Nov 8 The licensing deals on some of these older movies is pretty wild. It’s bad enough that more recent movies jump providers all the time. but it is pretty wild how many vintage movies have basically just become nearly impossible to find.
November 10, 2025Nov 10 CB Team Streaming came with the promise of making it easier to watch any movie... But even though the technology is there, you can't find some titles anywhere.
November 11, 2025Nov 11 Australia made one too? Two Hands (1999) staring Heath Ledger and Brian Brown.
November 11, 2025Nov 11 CB Team I don't think I've ever watched it, but I remember hearing about it years ago.
