Future of TMNT

I'm the right age to have never known a time when the Ninja Turtles weren't around, so I'm curious what others think about how Paramount-Skydance is now treating the franchise.

I'm certainly happy they want to invest a lot in it and cater to fans of all ages, but developing a new live-action movie alongside the Mutant Mayhem sequel feels like oversaturation could be brewing. On top of that, they ditched Playmates for Mattel as the master toy license holder.

In short, big change is coming in the next two years for TMNT, not all of it good I worry.

I was really hoping they would do the Last Ronin storyline, but I guess they figured they should try to cash in on a few more movies in between before they do the "last" movie. I'm open to see what they do with the franchise, but I wasn't a huge fan of the latest entries.

I wish they would go back and make a gritty version like the first one! I still watch it occasionally and it came out when I was very young.
