May 1May 1 CB Team I liked the heavier sci-fi portions of the show and the Monster thrills. The drama dragged in a lot of places for me, and I thought the S2 finale was one of the worst episodes of the series. So overall? So-So. That all said, I'm more than ready to get into the events of S3, and set up Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Would love to see some big characters/actors from the film cameo in the show. Like Charles Dance or Vera Farmiga.

Really annoyed me there tbh lol.Definitely interested to see where this is going...
May 2May 2 I’m kind of in the same boat. The sci-fi ideas and MonsterVerse connections are what keep me watching, but the pacing this season felt uneven. Some episodes had great tension and scale, then others got bogged down in character drama that didn’t always pay off. The finale especially felt rushed, like they were ticking boxes to move pieces into place rather than letting things develop naturally. That said, I still enjoy the worldbuilding and the glimpses of the bigger timeline. If season 3 tightens the writing and balances spectacle with story better, it could really land.

When it leans into the mystery and larger lore, it becomes genuinely engaging, but when it shifts too heavily into personal arcs, it can lose momentum. It’s not that the characters are bad, they just aren’t always given the strongest material. The contrast between big, high-stakes moments and slower dialogue scenes can feel a bit disjointed. Still, the foundation is there, and if they streamline the storytelling next season, it could turn into something much more consistent and impactful.
May 3May 3 Author CB Team I think the characters almost all have the potential to be engaging (possibly not Kentaro and Isabel). And I like the concept, of people struggling to make sense of living in the Monsterverse. But... it doesn't quite come together cohesively. For me, the moment that really jarred me was when Cate goes to Kentaro, the copter actually WAITS for her when they had no idea how long she'd be and they needed to get to Titan X before she left Skull Island. It made me wince, because it clearly telegraphed "Oh, we want a confrontation between Cate and Kentaro but we ALSO want Cate to be part of getting Titan X home" lol. Very clumsy writing there.
