Mando and grogu
That is what I am hoping for. A fun movie that my wife and son will enjoy too

Who's Excited for VisionQuest?
I'm excited. With the exception of like one or two shows (Secret Invasion especially), I have loved everything from the MCU on Disney+ (I even had things I liked about Falcon and Winter Soldier, especially Sam's story concerning his personal life). But, the great shows have been incredible (Loki, Wonder Man, and WandaVision are all better than a lot of the movies).

X-Men 97
The first season was pretty great. Told the Bastion story and was really quite entertaining. I am cautiously optimistic about Season 2, even with the change in showrunners.

What are you currently reading?
That is a good question. There are people he has had relationships with in the past and it might give more depth to why he hates or trusts someone, but Butcher does a good job in making most of his books self contained. There are only four books in his series that don't stand on their own (Turn Coat leads directly into Changes, and Peace Talks and Battle Ground are a two-part story), but normally, his books can be read as one-offs.

What are you currently reading?
I mostly read urban fantasy and horror, and when I went to Barnes & Noble a few days ago, I learned Jim Butcher had a new novella out for the Dresden Files that I had never heard was coming. I'm reading that now. Butcher and I went to the same college and had the same advisor in the professional writing program there, so he is someone I closely follow, making this book a surprise.

Are you all excited for the upcoming Star Wars movie The Mandalorian & Grogu?
I am excited about it. It looks like a lot of fun, which is what I want from this movie. I'll also take my wife and son, and it looks like something all of us will enjoy.

Comic book brick and mortar stores
We have a lot of them here in Oklahoma. We went to one closest to us on Free Comic Book Day, a store in NW OKC called All-Star Comics. There is a newer one, a few miles from that one, called Super Comic Bros, and shockingly, there is also the same comic book store I visited as a kid in the 1980s, called New World Comics, that is still open and operating. There is another I have never been to called Vintage Sanctuary Comics, within driving distance. The only one in my actual town (Edmond, Oklahoma) shut down during the lockdown in 2020. I also have a friend from college who opened a comic book store in the 1990s, and his is still open and operating in Norman, Oklahoma, called Speeding Bullet Comics. Finally, there is one I see advertising for in Moore, Oklahoma (a town between Norman and OKC) called DZ Comics and Gaming. I guess I'm lucky to have 6 notable comic book stores (and a few I don't know much about, like Cosmic Collectibles, Amazing Action Comics, Wizard's Asylum, and the Vintage Stock stores that carry comics) around me to choose from.

Who is the most famous superhero from your state?
Hmmm, Oklahoma has Wyatt Wingfoot and Doc Samson from Marvel and Steve Trevor from DC (pre-New 52) Of course, we were also home for Asgard when it came to Earth.

Marvel's Wonder Man is getting dumped
It does suck, but it won't change much in our house. We watch the Marvel Disney+ shows as a family, and it is usually one episode a week, even if they do drop them all at once (like with Eyes of Wakanda). I hate how Netflix drops every episode at once because it eliminates the chance for people to discuss the series and look forward to what is next, since half of the people will just watch it all on Day 1 and be finished with it.

What's your go-to show to binge-watch?
I like binging Supernatural, because I love Monster of the Week episodes. Used to do it with X-Files, too.

Why do you think Cyclops is crying in the Avengers: Doomsday teaser?
I have theories that Doctor Doom is collecting superpowered kids. He might already have Franklin. The first teaser showed Cap's kid, whom Doom might have been after. Thor's shows Love, who Doom might be after. Scott going nuts might be because in that world, he and Jean had Rachel, and Doom took her. This could have Rachel as one of the new X-Men members as well when the reboot happens. I think Doom is coming for all the kids because he needs their combined powers to make Battleworld (kind of like a version of the Krakoa Seven).

What Was Your Favorite Horror Film of 2025 (& Which Are You Most Excited for in 2026?)
Sinners by a long shot. I want it to win the Oscar (although I would also be happy to see One Battle After Another win) Weapons is probably second for me. For next year, I want to see Resident Evil cause of Zach Cregger is directing it, but also love that Sam Raimi is back with a new horror thriller (Send Help). Also interested to see what Robert Eggers does with Werewulf, cause I loved his take on Nosferatu.

What comic most disappointed you in 2025?
The end of Imperial soured me on the series. The main series just seemed rushed through with non-stop battles, but the ending just fell flat. Black Bolt being the one who was behind framing the Wakandans for murder, Black Panther agreeing to keep it a secret, Shuri explaining that democracy never works in Wakanda, and Star-Lord and Nova ending their bromance (this was the worst thing that happened out of it). I get they wanted to reboot the cosmic side and undo everything they had done since Annihilation Wave, but this just never felt like it worked in the end.

Thoughts on the New Street Fighter Movie Preview?
It looks like big dumb fun. When they had the beating up the car moment from the video game's bonus stages, that said it all. My wife's eyes rolled all the way back in her head, but I told her it looks like something I will love every second of.
