FantasticJerome

I have to go with TMNT: Raphael and X-Men 266! I've had Raphael since I was a kid and it brings back great memories. I like X-Men 266 because of Gambit.

I almost bought this the other day, but remembered the movie and put it back 😂 maybe I'll reconsider now that you said this.

I'm really starting to like pinball machines! I never really cared for them in the past, but recently got into them at a retro arcade and it's my favorite part now! I played the Stranger Things pinball last week and it was pretty cool!

I've started to love them! Never was a big fan of pinball machines until I started going to retro arcades, but now I think they're awesome!

Our Dave & Busters doesn't have much except those machines where you try to win tickets, which I kinda hate because they don't last long, but my oldest is a wizard at the claw game and won me an entire set of Ghostbusters plushies : ) Does your area have an old-school arcade? We have one about an hour away but you just pay a cover charge and play all day. However, most of their games are a little dated.

I just spent the day at a retro arcade with all the old games from the 70s Atari days, 80s and 90s cabinets, pinball machines, and even rooms with home systems like NES, SNES, old Playstations, XBox, etc. It really got me thinking about how much fun those games have been over the decades. There’s a lot of nostalgia in playing them the way they were originally meant to be played. Do you still go to places like that, or would you if you had one nearby? What are some of your favorite games to play in that setting?

That was a great game! My sister had that one and I played it when I came to visit from college. I never beat the underwater castle lol it's probably easy I just never put enough time into it.

Wow I didn't even know it had a fishing pole lol too bad you didn't keep it. My son can't believe that I didn't keep all of my retro games, but we didn't really think about it like that back then. Wish I had kept them all.

Let me look through my box and I'll be back : )

For me it's A Link to the Past for SNES. So many great memories! I won it over and over just to watch the ending. I felt like I was part of the game : )

Agreed! It may be nostalgia, but the Legend of Zelda was a classic! Contra III and Super Mario were awesome as well! What's your favorite games on there?

I completely forgot about the Dreamcast! Only knew 1 person who had it.

I grew up during the NES and SNES era so I have to go with SNES. I know that's probably nostalgia, but there was just such a big jump from NES to SNES that it blew our minds back then. I did enjoy my Xbox 360 as well, even though I was quite a few years late getting one.

This is true! It looked so good in theaters. I'm still going to watch it at home when it comes out, but it was nice to see it the first time on the big screen.

Agreed! We're just happy to see our favorite characters in an awesome movie!

There’s a pretty solid mix out there right now with books like Bleeding Hearts, some new stuff from BOOM! Studios, Something Is Killing the Children, Godzilla, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even Estuary: A Ghost Story #1. Curious what everyone ended up picking up and if anything stood out this week.

We watch the Sonic movies pretty regularly here and play the games!

Awesome! Hope to see your work one day!

Hi Kayla! Welcome to the forum! Who's your favorite Doctor?

I like how it brought up lore that even I had forgotten from way back! It makes me want to learn more about the early days. I grew up playing those games but never finished most of them.

Thank you! I'll look into this, I think my son has a subscription for the Switch, which would be perfect!

I just saw the new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man that played with the new Super Mario Galaxy movie, and this is the first time I’ve watched it all the way through… it looks amazing. I haven’t been this pumped for a Spider-Man movie in a long time. What did everyone else think? Did it live up to the hype for you? This is one I will definitely see in theaters as soon as it releases.

Oh I'm definitely going to watch this! I wasn't sure about it at first, but the trailers seem fun and could be a great popcorn movie.

This movie really made me want to play the original games for NES and Super NES, what are the best ways to play them these days? We have a Switch, but not sure if they have a game pack for all of the old games.
