September 2025 PlayStation State of Play Predictions Thread

We've officially got a new PlayStation State of Play happening tomorrow on September 24th. Saros, the new game from Housemarque, is the only title confirmed to appear during the presentation at the moment and will be getting about five minutes of gameplay footage.

Rumors are saying that Insomniac is finally going to reveal more of Marvel's Wolverine after four years of silence. I think that would make a lot of sense to appear and would give fans something major to look forward to in 2026.

Otherwise, I am expecting another showing for Resident Evil Requiem. I keep expecting Leon to appear in one of these trailers and his reveal finally happening at State of Play would generate a ton of excitement.

What else do you think PlayStation ends up showing off?

I really hope the do show Wolverine - because the leaked footage hasn't sold me (and actually kind of dampened my interest). If it's going to be very Spider-Man PS4-esque but without web-swinging and the verticality, I'm not 100% sure what will make it feel like it was worth doing that over Spider-Man 3 or even Spider-Man 2 DLC (or a new Ratchet & Clank or Resistence for that matter).

I feel like I often go into PlayStation State of Play showcases with fewer expectations than with others. I am definitely interested in seeing more from Wolverine, but I'm otherwise just kind of here to see what surprises me.
