Do you think DC is finally building a more connected movie universe?

Watching the new Superman and seeing characters like Supergirl already lined up, it feels like DC might finally be laying real groundwork for something more connected.

The older DC movie universe always seemed to struggle with that compared to how Marvel slowly built things up over time.

Do you feel like DC is finally heading in the right direction now, or does it still feel too early to tell?

I think Clayface and Lanterns will be the true test of the formula, actually. Superman and Peacemaker (and also Creature Commandos) did a wonderful job connecting everything. However, they were all helmed by Gunn. Supergirl is not helmed by Gunn, but since it's the second theatrical release, I would guess he's watching things closely.

Clayface and Lanterns feel like their own things, so they will tell me if the universe is working or not.

If Netflix gets Warner Bros ... yes, DCCU is for certain and will probably be more extensive than the MCU!

I think it's going to be connected in the kind of way where if we've seen something, we'll get more out of their cameo appearance in something else. Like comics where you like it more if you have more experience going in, but in movie form. I think they've learned from the MCU's mistake to not make them necessary watches to enjoy everything else

That's a good point! I'm curious to see if those characters connect well with everything else. I guess that's a good way to test the universe.

There is definitely plenty of potential! There are so many great stories they could do.

I think you're right. Cameo appearances mean so much more if they're connected in some way.
