Rumors keep piling up about Thanos having a role in Avengers: Secret Wars. Honestly, a cinematic adaptation of THAT scene in which Doom kills Thanos would be great, but I'm on the fence about Marvel Studios going all in with nostalgia. It makes sense, from a commercial angle, given how much money No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine made. Still, they are bringing Steve Rogers back, focusing on the OG Avengers for Doomsday... I'm not sure if the current theatrical environment will reward this approach.

If we get Doom killing Thanos, it might be worth it

I feel like that would be stuffing too much into one movie. We would all love to see that scene where Doom kills Thanos, but I don't know if there would be enough time to fully flesh it all out. Unless Thanos is fighting alongside the heroes against Doom and then it happens.

That's a possibility... Or maybe Thanos Variant 3.0 comes from yet another timeline to steal Doom's power and gets wrecked in 2 minutes.

I mean this and Doomsday are just gonna be Nostalgia Bait: The Movie - Part 1 & 2 so why the hell not at this point (but I agree if he's in it it should just be to kill him off quickly, the MCU has already done that a bunch in things like What If...?)

Now that's an idea I could get behind! Wouldn't have to build it up the story too much either. He could literally just show up and give us that scene.
