Which hero that they won't let get married SHOULD be married?

Was thinking about this for Valentine's Day yesterday and how DC won't let Batman get married. I get -why- but also, I think it adds a new layer to all of his stories, especially if it's not someone else in the game ala Catwoman or Talia.

What heroes should be married or locked down for good that the publisher won't let?

Spider-Man is probably the biggest example for me. Peter and Mary Jane were married for years, and it added a lot of emotional weight to his life without taking away what made him relatable. Ever since that was undone, it’s felt like his character has been kept in the same place instead of being allowed to grow. I think letting him be married again would open the door to some really strong storytelling.

I definitely think Batman should be married and I think it should absolutely not be Catwoman or Talia. I think by putting him in those relationships (and then not letting him get married) they've sort of painted the character into a corner where pretty much all of his stories repeat in some respect. Giving Bruce a "normal" life would completely upend things and could make for some truly interesting storytelling.

Truth!

The new Ultimate Spider-Man proved this too

This is the biggest reason they won't let it happen, sadly. Ironically, the arrival of Damian Wayne was the biggest shake-up for him in quite some time, and it reenergized the Batman family in a major way, you'd think they'd be willing to experiment further.

Right? And now they've fallen into worn patterns with Damian, too. Sometimes, one just wants to shake DC aggressively.
