What Is Your Favorite Vertigo Comic?

With Vertigo back in a big way, I've been revisiting the imprint and am reminded of so many of the absolutely fantastic books that -are not- the major titles everyone thinks about. I'm talking books like Faker, Hex Wives, etc.

What are your favorite, perhaps underappreciated Vertigo books and why?

I'm halfway through Preacher and just picked up Bleeding Hearts. Haven't read it yet, but have heard great things.

Preacher was one of the first comic books I read back to back, from the first to the last issue. I really like this series. It has some arcs better than others, but it's among the best things Ennis ever made.

I think it's Y The Last Man for me, kind of a perfect comic in that individual issues are a blast to read, but the whole thing is so engaging that you can't put it down if you have all of it in front of you.

Y The Last Man is one of the gaps I have in my reading... I know I must read it, I want to read it, but it's hard to juggle everything.

I have to say, i'm a little surprised to see bigger names listed here. That's not a bad thing! I just thought I'd see y'all name off some of the more hidden gems. ;)

If we tap into lesser-known titles, I want to throw Scalped in the ring. Great crime saga!
