March 18Mar 18 CB Team It's finally here: https://comicbook.com/movies/news/spider-man-brand-new-day-full-trailer-finally-released-after-a-full-day-of-teasing-reveals-bruce-banner-punisher-more/I probably would've enjoyed it more if it hadn't been revealed in 2-second clips over the past 24 hours, but I do think it's a fun trailer and looks pretty good (though also not helped by coming right after the Dune 3 trailer)! What are your thoughts?
March 18Mar 18 CB Team I liked it for the most part. I think this might be the best looking MCU Spidey movie yet. I thought the visuals were strong. I enjoyed the close up of the eye under the mask while he's falling through the air. Don't think I've seen a shot like that before.I'm gonna hold off judgment until the movie is out, but I was not a fan of how prominent Ned and MJ are in the trailer. I get having them in a scene or two to establish Peter is having a hard time moving on, but the whole point of No Way Home's ending was he realized they were better off without him. And now he's like trying to reinsert himself into their lives again. I really hope this doesn't end with the three of them as best friends again.Maybe there's still a "Peter learns to move on" arc here, but I always saw Brand New Day as a way to wipe the slate clean and bring in new supporting characters (hi, Harry Osborn).
March 18Mar 18 CB Team I love that we're finally getting back to just friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. No Way home is good but we haven't had this since Homecoming a damn decade ago!

Looks like it's going to be the emotional throughline of the movie, which does make sense and could give it some heft, but if it just reverts to the status quo by the ending that could be pretty disappointing
