May 5May 5 CB Team Recently, a comic collector got an official grading mislabeling their Action Comics #1 reprint as a 1938 original. IN this case, it's a label error, not a comic exchange. But just imagine if someone sends you a comic worth $15 million by mistake! These are the what-if scenarios that tell me I'm no superhero material 🤣

Tuesday at 04:02 AM5 days So it kind of happened to me twice for fairly expensive ( but not crazy) comics. Once i was handed a collection of comics from someone's storage unit and it had the first issue and appearance of scooby doo and his friends when i had the chance to go through it months later.Another time, i bought a set of the infinity gauntlet comics someone was selling from the back of their car in a community yard sale. It turned out every issue was signed by George PerezUltimately i sold scooby, and still have the infinity gauntlet series somewhere
Wednesday at 03:38 AM4 days CB Team Depends on the nature of the mistake. Did they realize at the time of sending the valuable comic that it had that value or did they find out after the fact and have an "oh crap" moment? Is it a case of getting the type of issue you were expecting just not that level of value (like a better quality copy)? Is it possible that getting the valuable comic is actually you being rewarded for good karma? Realistically, I'd probably sit on the comic and wait to see if anything is said or noticed. I'm not the sort that would rush out and sell something just because it's valuable if it's something that I appreciate simply because I like it. I'd want to bask in owning something so cool for at least a day or two before I figured out what the next move would be. Ultimately, I'd probably return it if it really was an error because I'd want someone to return to me something that was given away by accident.
