Monday at 06:28 PM3 days CB Team We have Beetlejuice 3 and Attack of the 50-Foot Woman remake in the pipeline, but will either of those be great? Does Tim Burton have another great movie in him? And what was the last "great" Burton film you can think of?
Monday at 09:49 PM3 days CB Team I hate to say it, but I don’t have the highest hopes for Beetlejuice 3. I’m hoping it ends up being a nice surprise, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the sequel. That said, I still think Tim Burton has some great movies left in him.
Tuesday at 03:25 PM2 days CB Team Truly great? Maybe not. Good enough? Definitely. Beetlejuice 2 was a bounce back in movie terms (obvs there's Wednesday on TV, but film wise he was on a run of stinkers) and a fun film, especially as it could've so easily been a disaster.Burton was my favourite director when I was a teenager, and so I really like a lot of his 2000s output (Apes aside), but I don't think he's made anything I would classify as GREAT since Ed Wood. But that run from Beetlejuice to that was incredible, so hopefully he still has some of that (Beetle) juice left in him, and I think he's a good fit for Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman. Don't really want Beetlejuice 3 though, let's not push it!
Tuesday at 04:11 PM2 days CB Team I have to be honest. Burton has never been one of my favorites. I chalk that up to attending high school with a bunch of Tim Burton heads who always pushed for the class to watch Edward Scissorhands the last day before a holiday break. The first time, it was fine. As it went on, I just got sick of it. I haven't revisited that since.I do adore Ed Wood though. Movies about movies are my drug.As a Margot Robbie fan, I'd love for Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman to be great. Hopefully there's something there.
