When Marvel Studios cast Robert Downey Jr. as Doom, people were reasonably concerned the MCU would turn the villain into an evil Iron Man. Now some fans are worried the opposite is happening, and they will retcon Tony as a variant of Victor. How do you feel about it?

I'm up for anything if the story is told well, but I feel like Marvel could just NOT address the fact they look the same, keep Doom in mask, and that's it.

I'm torn. I don't know which one would be worse lol. But yeah, they have to address it somehow. I don't see how they can resist a Doom unmasking scene just so they can show Thor's reaction to seeing RDJ's face.

I'm with you. As long as the story is told well, just do whatever. Although I'm not entirely confident the story is going to be told well haha.

I feel like the reality of whatever the "reason' is for RDJ as Doom will end up being something no one predicted, and make all the secrecy seem hilarious in retrospect 🤣

They're probably going to come up with something none of us saw coming 😂
