October 25, 2025Oct 25 CB Team I’m putting together a bookshelf in my home office and looking to expand my graphic novel collection. It got me thinking, what graphic novels or series do you find yourself rereading every year, or ones you’ll always go back to no matter how much time passes? I don’t want to fill the shelf with books I’ll only read once.I have a few staples I revisit pretty often, but I’m looking for new ideas to add to the mix. It can be Marvel, DC, Image, or indie, anything that hits that perfect balance of story and art that never gets old. What’s on your personal reread list?
October 25, 2025Oct 25 I’d love to experience Watchmen all over again (though, I’m sure you have that one).Maus was one of my favorites as a young reader. Saga was great but I’m pretty mixed on whether they should keep that going.

I picked up the entire Preacher series today. I've been enjoying book 1 and figured I may as well get the whole set and read straight through. I also picked up a handful of Frank Miller's Sin City, although I'm not sure those will get a ton of rereads.

October 27, 2025Oct 27 Scott McCloud has some pretty great books that are worth reading at least once, but I would say they're worth reading more than once for sure: Understanding Comics, Reinventing Comics, and Making Comics. They are a series of comics that he wrote about the production of comics. I agree with Maus, Watchmen, Locke & Key, Preacher and would also add V for Vendetta and The Boys (bear in mind the graphic novels are more graphic than the TV show, if you can believe it). And then I would also recommend some Grant Morrison to go along with the Garth Ennis and Alan Moore recommendations above, my favorites are: DC One Million and All-Star Superman, but many of the runs Morrison did across DC and Marvel are very good. And this series is newer than the others listed, but I've really been enjoying Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin by Kevin Eastman, along with the sequels Lost Years and The Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution.

I love the Last Ronin, but just realized I haven't finished Re-Evolution, so I have some reading to do there. I'm ordering Lock & Key and Watchmen this week. I'll also check out V for Vendetta. I would also love to read Scott McCloud's books since I want to write comics one day, maybe those will help. My goal is to build an expansive library for my home office so I never run out of great material to read.

Can't wait to read through them!
October 29, 2025Oct 29 CB Team Grant Morrison's Animal Man is something that gets even better when you read it a second time, because you start to notice the seeds he had planted in the first issues.
