Thank Goodness/ I Couldn’t Be Happier is another standout and similarly to No One Mourns the Wicked it taps into that experience of being completely miserable, mourning and alone but having to put on a mask to make everyone around you feel safe. Wicked deals with many themes of loneliness and isolation and in its music it captures it best.

my favorite song is definitely no one morns the wicked / couldn’t be happier because one side is glinda in her happiest moment (so she thought) and then elphaba who only she truly knows is hurting and cares for her but can’t show that because the people believe elphaba is truly wicked

My favorite song from Wicked has to be “Defying Gravity.” It never gets old, powerful, emotional, and iconic.

I'm not a fan (more of a Return to Oz man), but the wife was a fan of Wicked well before the movie, so this would be nice for her. I'm not well informed on the music, but I'm thinkin' her favorite has gotta be Defying Gravity.
