What did you think of the new Mortal Kombat II trailer?

Just watched the new trailer for Mortal Kombat II and I’m curious what everyone thinks. It looks like they’re leaning more into the classic vibe this time around, and I like that Johnny Cage is going to be a bigger focus.

Do you think this one looks better than the first movie? I'm actually excited to see this one!

Mortal Kombat is my favorite video game ever. I once played it with my brother for 14 hours straight. That said, I thought the Morbat Combat movie was decidedly "meh"... maybe that's too much expectation. I'm getting the same vibe with MK II, but have to admit -- the fight sequences present some serious "eye candy."

I dug the trailer quite a bit, but I will also admit there's some bias there, as one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise is Kitana, and she looks awesome!

Also Karl Urban seems to have a real handle on Johnny Cage, and the rest of the action looked cool.

I must have been around 12 or so when the games first came out and remember spending all my quarters playing it : ) I usually don't expect much from movies based on games, but I'll definitely give this one a chance.

Karl Urban does look pretty good as Johnny Cage. I think he's going to do great.

It looks like a step up from the first movie, which was total dogshit imo, but at the same time it has to walk a fine line of realizing "this is all ridiculous" and knowing that a large sect of the fandom wants it to be taken deathly serious.

The fact that it might be the best MK movie ever is an easy feat to accomplish, and one with little notoriety.

I haven't seen part 1, but watched the originals back in the day. I've never really had high hopes for movies based on fighting games, but I think they're getting closer to what most of us want to watch. I'm also curious to see how they do the new SFII.
