Are movie trailers showing too much lately?

Yeah, I definitely feel like this is becoming an unfortunate trend. They reveal so much of the movie that when you actually see the movie, it doesn't really live up to expectations or provide anything new. I prefer when trailers give me just enough to build anticipation without giving the entire movie away. I want to be surprised when I see a movie, not bored because I already know what happens.

It's so hard to get the balance right, though; I mean, The Mandalorian and Grogu has kind of gone to the other extreme lol.

Haha, that trailer gave literally nothing away. I definitely agree that trailers walk have to walk a very fine line between giving too much away and not giving enough away.
