Nathan Fillion has been doing videos getting the cast back together, teasing an announcement for this Sunday (where they're at AwesomeCon). This has, naturally, led to speculation that we're finally getting a Firefly Season 2/revival.

I'm not expecting that much - I assume it'll just be some kind of reunion special/table read/25th anniversary announcement thing, though I also wouldn't be too surprised if it was game-related or some other branding thing. However, any of that would be disappointing given how much they've been hyping it up, and even saying "it is what you're thinking about," on a recent post, which at least gives more credence to the reboot idea.

What do you think it will be? Would you want to see the show come back, and if so, live-action or animation?

Three words: Bring. It. Back. LOL. I'd go live-action, personally.

I would just be stunned if it was a proper reboot that had somehow been developed without any of the hollywood trades not hearing about it at all.

That said, I hope it's not just a re-watch podcast or something, even if it's a reboot that's actually an audio drama, I'd take it.

I'd love for them to do a sequel series - even if it was just a mini-series. Anything else short of that at this point is going to be a disappointment. They've hyped it up a lot and kept saying what it isn't going to be. Going to be pretty lame if it isn't the one thing everyone actually wants.

I have to be honest: I never got into Firefly so I genuinely do not understand the hype. THAT SAID, I am going to be deeply annoyed if they just decide to do a rewatch podcast. I doubt we're getting a reboot or a sequel or a revival and I fear whatever they are coming up with will probably disappoint, but even as someone who never got into Firefly, I am begging, no podcast.
