Well, folks, new clues keep pointing to the Court of Owls as the movie's villain. How are we feeling about it? Honestly, I think they fit Reeves' universe like a glove. The first movie was about systemic inequality and how the wealthy and powerful keep their comfort at the expense of others, so the Court of Owls can be great.

As someone who's not fully into the comics I keep hearing about the Court of Owls being a thing. Curious to see if a movie makes all of that buzz worth it. Would be a new angle for Batman on screen at least!

I think that if they're going to do it Reeves' is where to do it I have just never been sold on the concept of the Court of Owls in general.

Agreed on this. If anyone can do it, its Reeves. But agree that the shadowy puppet masters controlling all of Gotham was never really my favorite thing. I like Gotham and the Rogues because they reflect different forms of extremism (chaos, absolute order, etc) and the Court kind of wraps that all under an umbrella that, in some cases, really undermines the individuals (depending on the storyline).

I like the Court of Owls as a reflection of the moral pits greed leads people into. I think in the past year the concept of the Court of Owls has become even more relevant (hence why the Absolute universe is all anti-billionaire). That said, looking at the comics, I feel I like them more as a concept, because they were not well executed (and it only got worse when they went international).

I think it could be cool. Like Nick said, it'd be something different for Batman movies. I trust Reeves as a director to handle it properly.
