Consoles are getting expensive, and I think Sega could design an affordable one that can still compete—maybe slightly more powerful than the Switch, but with more RAM and GPU power.

If Sega released a $500 console, they could definitely be back in the game. Sony and Microsoft forgot what gaming consoles were designed for.

I’d almost for sure buy one. I was a Genesis (and Sega CD and 32X) guy growing up and loved my Saturn console.

I’d love to see another console maker that isn’t Nintendo or Steam take a real run at Sony and Microsoft - if for no other reason than it’d drive costs down (potentially).

Even if they did a mini-dreamcast like the mini nintendo consoles I would be thrilled lol

If PlayStation is done with the discs, I’d be down for the Dreamcast 2 with physical media and backwards compatibility with the past SEGA consoles.

I would definitely buy one!

I was a Genesis kid growing up, so I've always loved Sega. That being said, it'd be difficult for me to jump into a new ecosystem at this point since I have so many digital purchases tied up in the Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam storefronts. Can't see myself getting into a new Sega console if it happened, but it's fun to think about.

I really like Sega's library, but I already get a lot of retro games on the Nintendo Switch Online, and I don't see them making a budget console + new exclusives at the same time. New games that compete in the current market demand solid hardware.
