I saw Doomsday is way ahead of Brand New Day in ticket pre-sales. Should Dune 3 move up to that December 11 window to give it a bit of a buffer or are we past the point of no return there?

I think both movies will be just fine in that weekend, but it's a thought that popped in my head.

I think it's too late to move, but Dune should have moved. Doomsday is way bigger than I anticipated, and unless someone does a major dumb dumb in the next couple of months, it will only grow,

I feel like a broken record here, but there's no way Doomsday is actually better than Dune 3, for that reason alone it shouldn't move.

I will never argue with you that Doomsday is better than Dune 3.... But this industry doesn't always reward good movies, and it tends to favor big and flashy movies with big and flashy marketing... So...

Agreed that Dune will be better than Doomsday. The thing I'm curious to see is Doomsday's second weekend drop off. It was always gonna have a big opening, but if word of mouth is mixed it could fall off quick.

If they move it, what is my anti-Marvel husband going to do while I see Doomsday? But in all seriousness, it will be interesting to see how things go down with both movies coming out so close together.
