August 21Aug 21 Well, Reynolds is going to make Hugh play Wolverine until he's 90, so I suppose he'll have to survive? In all seriousness, I do think Wolverine survives for now - not because it's the right thing for the story but they keep printing money with that character and until they know for sure their MCU Wolverine is solid, it's hard to imagine ejecting Hugh.

August 22Aug 22 CB Team This might be a hot take, but I think it's time we let Hugh Jackman retire from this role. I doubt that it'll happen, but he's been around for so long and I feel like they're running out of interesting things to do with that version of the character.
August 26Aug 26 CB Team I think he survives Doomsday, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Secret Wars ends up being Hugh Jackman’s real sendoff. That feels like the kind of movie where they could give this version of Wolverine one last huge moment and then finally make room for the MCU’s version afterward.

I think Hugh Jackman would stay on as long as he could and that would be a great role for him to occasionally show up when needed.
