Maybe I'm off base on this, but after the MCU's down year at the box office last year, it seems like box office trends have shifted and superhero movies aren't as sure of a thing. There will always be hit Spider-Man and Batman films, but the era of taking an obscure property like GOTG and turning it into a massive hit might be over. I'm curious what impact (if any) this will have on the DCU as that gets going. Superman was successful, but he's in the same group as Spidey and Batman. I found myself thinking of this quote from Gunn where he basically said he isn't going to make movies about characters the audience doesn't know. Which is very unlike him. https://comicbook.co…

I'll be there in IMAX day 1 regardless, but I'm not super excited by the story. It's an understandable choice given that it's Targaryens+dragons to draw people in, but Aegon's Conquest is kinda boring on the page since it's mostly just him winning quite easily. Beau Willimon writing it gives me some more hope, though.

We got a footage description out of CinemaCon, which sounds fantastic. And after Barbarian and Weapons, I'm there for whatever Cregger does. But I'm also not really a Resident Evil fan and haven't played any of the games since the first couple in the 1990s, so I'm curious what others think, especially big fans of the franchise since it's an original story/characters?

We're now four episodes in, and I'm really liking it so far. Obviously, the animation is gorgeous, but the dynamic between Maul and Devon is starting to get really interesting (particularly liked this at the end of Episode 3 with his lightsaber), and I really like the noir-tinged detective stuff with Lawson, too. What do you think?

Honestly, I totally forgot that this Rick and Morty spinoff was happening, but the pitch of what it will be is amazing. It's also exactly what I want out of a Rick and Morty spinoff, something that stands apart entirely and doesn't require those characters ever to appear. What's everyone else think?
