I'd say maybe a compromise could be drop at theaters, then a week later online. But theaters-only seems self-defeating - won't reach large audiences. I suspect it'll only happen alongside the biggest (Avatar-esque) releases.

So, it looks like the MCU's own Wolverine movie may be in the works. Who do you think the MCU should cast for the role?

Yeah, agreed. I'm a little tense about this, I admit. I think it CAN work - but not sure if it's wise.

I found Jedi Knights #10 to be a surprisingly satisfying end to a series I haven't massively enjoyed, personally.

I really enjoyed it. Very Guardians of the Galaxy vibe; I think it's gonna be great fun.

It's Christmas, so no - other priorities. I WILL, of course, be seeing Avatar; love those films. But not four times, over Christmas, lol.

Yeah, I'm really not finding Absolute Batman to be as much fun as the other books. This Joker feels... lesser somehow.

It's interesting; if the first trailer is anything to go by, will all four be based on individual characters?

Ironically, this trailer makes me believe Dustin and Steve are the only ones who are safe lol!

Wow, I absolutely LOVE that last one!

Oh this looks like fun. Very much GotG vibes.

Just been reading this fascinating history of Supergirl costumes. What's your favorite Supergirl outfit? https://web.archive.org/web/20190110031823/http://www.metropolisplus.com/Supergirl/Index.htm

I absolutely loved it. I think ST will never quite reach the wonder of the first season, just because it has too much of a scale now when that story was more intimate, but this was still easily one of the best shows of all time. Loved it.

Yeah, I really couldn't agree more. Disney seriously dropped the ball with this one.

You reading the current Spider-Man Noir series? It's REALLY good, and doing well pitting him against Nazis, but blending it with interesting takes on villains. THAT is something I'd like to see!

Oddly, as a huge SW and Marvel fan, I'm most excited for Project Hail Mary. Looks really promising.

I'd go with the opposite tbh; tease that the resemblance is more than just casting, but is a plot point. Have people who KNEW Iron Man reeling at the reveal.

What did you think of the new Doctor Who spinoff, The War Between the Land and the Sea? Personally, I absolutely loved it; it's not exactly subtle, the political messaging is about as subtle as a sledgehammer lol, but it's great fun.

Adam can definitely be great. He packs a punch when he works well, especially benefits from Invisible Woman First Steps.

For me, I think the top performers will likely be Spider-Man: Brand New Day and I'm tempted by thinking Moana has a shot of being a hit. That said, Disney's marketing indicates they really, really want Doomsday to be the hit.

Sadly, I don't really expect much from Spider-Man Noir. The current comic book arc is brilliant, but I don't really think Sony will make this work as well. As for connectivity... I suspect he's removed enough from continuity for Sony to just do their own thing.

I've got to be honest that I got a bit tired of the Snyderverse. It was OK; but the relentless pressure to bring it back kind of tired me out.

What do you think will be the film of the year in 2026? Weirdly, I think this year's barely had a theatrical release lol; KPop Demon Hunters, an unlikely contender for the crown!

HAH yeah I've done it myself and groaned lol.

Oddly, I think my most underrated would actually be... Howard the Duck. Only a 1-cost, so easy to pop on the board. But he allows you a fun amount of control for other cards - removes any risk for Jubilee, makes timing for Hydro-Man perfect, etc. He's never going to be brilliant, but he's not as bad as his rep, and I quite like trying to put together decks that make the most of him. He's fun for experimenting!
