  1. Yes, I think the Switch 2 exclusive pivot needed to happen. I'm also glad they're waiting until 2027 instead of rushing it out this year just because it's the 30th.
  2. Lol! I was initially really disappointed in all 3 starters but they're already growing on me. I think it's going to be cranky grass bird for me.
  3. Well, Pokemon Day is here, and we got our presents! What did everyone think? Aside from the Gen 10 reveal, it felt pretty par for the course to me. Glad we got a release window for Champions, and the new look at Pokopia was cool. But I expected them to have a little more to announce, to be honest.
  4. I'm curious to see what they do with the Dungeons & Dragons TV show. If it's anything like Honor Among Thieves, it could be great. Much more dubious about Baldur's Gate 3. It feels like it'd be hard to recapture what makes the game great in a TV format, especially without Larian involved.
  5. I'm hyped for this one for sure! There are some games I never got to experience in this collection.
  6. I'm going to nerd out and go see the Umamusume: Pretty Derby movie during its limited US theatrical run.
  7. Steam Next Fest started yesterday and runs through March 2nd. I've been busy playing a lot of the demos so I can write a roundup. But I'm curious how other people approach Next Fest. Do you like to play demos or would you rather wait for the full game? I'm a bit selective about which demos I want to play. Anything that's super story-driven but doesn't have progress that carries over, I tend to skip unless it's a HUGE wishlist item because I don't want to replay the story. And if you ARE playing demos, let me know which ones caught your eye! I'm going to probably try and squeeze a few more in this week.
  8. I got to check out the demo last month. The combat is definitely interesting with the hacking, and I liked how it adds another element. But yeah, I didn't feel like I'd gotten the hang of it even after playing through the demo. It's a lot to think about at once. It's probably not a game for me, but I hope people end up liking it!
  9. It really depends on what we're actively watching at any given moment. Husband uses HBO Max a lot, whereas I'm typically more on Netflix or Crunchyroll.
  10. For me, it was Stay Alive. Something about a horror movie where your video game deaths haunt you in real life absolutely terrified me as a kid. I couldn't sleep for weeks.
  11. Always an iconic choice!
  12. Yeah, I played Let's Go Eevee when I first got my Switch, so going back to Kanto and not having an Eevee from jump might be hard lol.
  13. I have fond LeafGreen memories as well! Blue was my first, but I was so young that Crystal and LeafGreen are more my early Pokemon memories.
  14. I agree, $20 seems a little steep for just one of the 2 games when they've been around for so long. If it was a bundle of both versions, maybe. I've seen a lot of different chatter about HOME integration so it looks like we might not have that detail until the Presents.
  15. Pokemon decided to let us in on some of the Pokemon Day news early. Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are officially coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop right after the Pokemon Presents on February 27th. They're priced at $19.99 USD each. Will you be revisiting Kanto? And if so, FireRed? Or LeafGreen? I always chose Bulbasaur as my starter, so it's a LeafGreen life for me, I think. If I decide to replay them. It depends on what else they throw our way on Pokemon Day for me honestly.
  16. I'm not a huge Resident Evil fan, so I'll be skipping this one. But I'm excited to see what everyone thinks and hope it's as good as it looks! For me, the next few weeks are just a big long lead-up to Pokopia lol.
  17. I've been searching for the third volume of The Apothecary Diaries light novels for ages, and I finally found a copy this weekend! So my adventure through the books while waiting for the next season continues!
  18. I'm not a God of War person, so it's probably not going to be on my list with everything else coming out in the next month or so. Looks like early reviews are pretty mixed, too.
  19. I love all the doggo Pokemon! I cannot get over Fidough's baked bread boi design lol.
  20. Bulbasaur was my first-ever starter so he has a special place in my heart, too! I've got a plush Bulbasaur who sits on my desk and watches me workl ol.
  21. Pokemon launched it's 30th year anniversary "What's Your Favorite" campaign with that wild celebrity-filled Super Bowl ad. And that has me curious to know... what is everyone's favorite Pokemon? Mine are Psyduck (chronic migraine icon) and Umbreon (for the gotchic/witchy vibes).
  22. This year really does have a ton of big games that aren't firming up release dates. I wonder if studios are getting shy about offering up a specific release date with all these delays the last few years? Hopefully as we head into April / Summer Games Fest, we'll start getting some clarity on some of these!
  23. How I Met Your Mother is a big one for me. The fact that they stuck with the ending they originally planned, even after so many more seasons of growth for the characters, really soured me on the show as a whole.
  24. It'll definitely take a while to build habitats to meet 300 Pokemon, for sure!
