  1. I feel similarly. I totally get why Xbox wants to push people towards their console. But, as someone who already has a PS5 and Switch 2 in the house, I'm just not likely to buy another console. My husband does have an ailing Xbox Series S in the basement, but I'm worried we're about to see exclusives that need the Series X's power to run.
  2. Fingers crossed on those Pokemon games for Switch soon! And a new Mario would be great, as well.
  3. I've been seeing rumors about Pokemon Pokopia DLC, so that'd be cool. And I'd love a new Super Smash Bros. for Switch 2, but we'll see. I agree with you though, Logan, I think it'll be a big one since Nintendo's been so hush hush lately.
  4. I think they're pivoting back to Xbox exclusives under the new CEO to appease longtime Xbox fans who were frustrated at not having exclusives anymore. But it is kind of weird to just announce 2 exclusives out of nowhere after making so many statements about a multiplatform strategy just last year.
  5. At this point, I'm pretty worried about the project. It's been delayed so many times that I fear it's really lost its way in development. I hope they pull it off, but I'm skeptical.
  6. Now that I've slept on it, I think it was a pretty good showing! I'm still surprised we didn't see D&D Warlock or Hogwarts Legacy 2, but I'm hyped for FF7 Revelation and 1666 Amsterdam.
  7. Summer Game Fest is here! Shout out your thoughts on the showcase announcements and what you're excited to see.
  8. Valve has confirmed that the Steam Machine (and its new VR Headset) will release this summer. But we still don't know the price, which I find concerning. Are you planning to buy one when it comes out? How much would you be willing to pay? I've been wanting a Steam Deck for a while, but have been eyeing the Steam Machine as a potential alternative. But for me, it's looking like both will be out of the budget for a while.
  9. Yeah, September is looking absolutely packed with releases so far! It's going to be overwhelming if they all stay the course.
  10. Yeah, showcase week has really only just begun so there's likely much more to come.
  11. The highly anticipated PlayStation State of Play has come and gone, and it gave us a few big announcements along with a lengthy gameplay trailer for Marvel's Wolverine. What did you think of it? Personally, I'm hyped for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, God of War: Laufey, and RuneScape Dragonwilds hitting PS5. (Link to the replay in case you missed it).
  12. I got so mad during a particular Skyrim quest where I kept getting cornered & killed that I shouted loud enough to scare my dog. Seeing her hide behind the couch because mommy was mad at Skyrim was definitely a top-tier gamer rage moment for me.
  13. Yeah, I really hope we see these ported to Switch in the near future. Given that LeafGreen & FireRed sold pretty well, I think it's a realistic possibility!
  14. Yeah, I think a lot of the PlayStation highlights will be during State of Play, but I won't be surprised if a few of the bigger games they're banking on do a bit of a double dip in hopes of grabbing a bigger audience. Guess we'll see!
  15. I just wrote up a few predictions for what I think (slash hope) we'll see during Summer Game Fest next week. I will forever be keeping the Elder Scrolls 6 hope alive, but what is everyone else most hoping we see revealed or get more info on?
  16. Yeah I definitely get a lot of cards from friends who see my wishlist and help me out, too! Best way to track down those lingering cards you need for sure. Provided your friend list pays attention, which mine often does not lol.
  17. I'm still playing, largely for the same reason - I want to collect 'em all lol. I agree the pacing feels a little too fast! I'm still like 3 packs behind in trying to get all of the standard cards filled in. I tend to just Wonder Pick for newer cards until I finish older sets.
  18. I think it's probably because of how big each area is and how many Pokemon are roaming around in each if I had to guess, but yeah... I think they could've made it work, even if it didn't run very well. Nintendo probably just hoped it'd be a console seller to get more Switch 2s out there.
  19. Not gonna lie, I feel a little bit personally attacked by this question haha. I have a dedicated book cart for the physical books I haven't read yet, and let's just say there's a stack of books as tall as the cart next to it because it's already full to bursting. That said, I don't buy a ton of physical books in general because space is a premium in our house. So I'd say my ratio is probably around 50/50 before we get my Kindle library involved haha.
  20. I'm with you here. I really hope we get more of the older games on Nintendo Switch! And we're well overdue for our next remakes, too.
  21. Today, CD Projekt Red finally confirmed that the rumors of a new DLC for The Witcher 3 are true! It's coming in 2027 (more info here). So... what's on your wishlist for the next expansion?
  22. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and photos! Really hoping I get a chance to check this out when I'm in Chicago next month! If nothing else, I NEED that adorable new Pikachu in Pokemon Go lol.
  23. Revisiting old favorites is always a good time!
  24. It's a long weekend for many folks in the U.S., so it feels like a good time to bring back the question... what are you playing this weekend? Personally, I'm hoping to continue my Coffee Talk Tokyo journey. I love a good visual novel, especially if it also involves making coffee.
