  1. For me, it was the Absolute Universe from DC. I honestly got very lucky because someone at my local comic shop put it on my pull list early, which let me grab first prints across the line. Absolute Batman especially could have been an easy one to miss once the buzz picked up and the prices went up. Looking back, I really wish I had gotten into all of the Absolute titles right from the start instead of catching up as things took off.
  2. We watch horror and thriller series nightly, so I would love to see more series in that genre.
  3. I don't collect Star Wars LEGO, but I've put together quite a few for my son and it's always fun! He still has some of them displayed in his room. Great memories!
  4. I think so too, unfortunately. I think Spidey can pull off some amazing feats, but I'm not sure he would know how to deal with many of Spawn's powers.
  5. I think it would be a great fight that lasted quite a while, but Spawn would eventually overpower Spidey if it were 1v1. Spidey would likely need someone like Dr. Strange to provide some backup to pull off a win against someone like Spawn. His Spidey sense would help prolong the fight though.
  6. I feel the same! Grew up with Spidey, but I think Spawn is just too much for him to handle alone.
  7. I’ve been thinking about how quickly some books take off lately and how unpredictable it can be. Curious what recent comics caught you off guard, whether you missed early issues, didn’t expect the buzz, or just wish you’d locked it in sooner. I know I have a few I wish I had gotten into sooner.
  8. What types of spinoffs are they planning? I love the feeling we all had when it first came out. It was the perfect show for that time period. It's like it captured something we all missed about the 80s. I'll likely watch more if it has a similar vibe.
  9. Awe man, I hope you find a fun place to start going to regularly. I was the same until I found a spot about a year and a half ago. They made it a point to learn my name and the books I like and started recommending books and I eventually started becoming a regular. I wish all areas had great shops.
  10. For me, it’s been a mix. I keep a pull list, but I’ve also found that just asking the folks at my local shop what they’re enjoying or recommending has led me to some great books I probably would’ve missed otherwise. A few of those ended up becoming regular pulls.
  11. Do you usually keep a pull list at your local shop, or do you prefer buying week to week? Looking back, are there any books you’re glad you didn’t miss, or ones you wish you’d grabbed earlier before they got harder to find or jumped in price? Curious how people approach collecting and what’s worked best for them.
  12. I'll look into Pathfinder also, thank you! I'm in a Marvel Multiverse Reddit group and have been talking to people on there, but haven't jumped into it yet. It seems to have a lot of moving parts to learn, but I may grab the book next time I'm in my lcs and give it a try.
  13. I'm hoping to find or create one that can grow. I've had people on Reddit ask me to join their games, but I haven't tried it yet.
  14. This is true! Quality of the wig matters.
  15. I agree. I'm a huge Spidey fan, but it's too much for him to handle. Maybe if Dr. Strange gave him an assist, but not 1v1 unfortunately.
  16. I'm a huge lifelong Spider-Man fan, but I'm not sure he can beat Spawn in a 1v1 fight. Spidey has tons of strengths in his arsenal, but I'm not sure even his spider-sense would be enough to handle Spawn. However, we all know it depends on the writer : )
  17. One of my nerdy goals for next year is to get out and participate more, going to comic cons, checking out (and maybe even participating in) panels, and being more involved instead of just following everything online. I’m also hoping to finally get into tabletop RPGs. I’ve never played before other than HeroQuest when I was younger, but I’ve been really interested in Dungeons & Dragons and the Marvel Multiverse RPG, and I’m looking forward to learning. I’m even considering trying my first cosplay at some point.
  18. I'm hyped for anything with Doctor Doom in it!
  19. I prefer long hair Thor honestly. I feel it goes back to his original roots more. I can see the benefits of having short hair to modernize the character, but long hair seems to fit him better.
  20. I’m looking to get into tabletop RPGs and was curious how many people here play Dungeons & Dragons or the Marvel Multiverse RPG. I’ve never played before, but I recently ordered a D&D book and will likely get the Marvel Multiverse RPG book soon. I’m excited to finally start learning. Between comics, movies, and games, it feels like a good time to branch out into RPGs. I’d love to hear how people got started, what systems you prefer, or any advice you’d give someone brand new.
  21. I've heard a lot about that one but haven't actually watched it. I'll put it on my list!
  22. I haven’t played Magic, but one of my goals for next year is to get more involved in RPGs in general. I’ve been really interested in things like the Marvel Multiverse RPG and Dungeons & Dragons. I actually won a D&D book recently, Dragon Delves with the red dragon figure, so I’m looking forward to finally learning and diving in. I'm hoping to find some online communities.
  23. I actually haven’t seen that one yet, but thanks for the recommendation. I’ve heard good things and I’ll definitely add it to my watch list. Sounds like Season 2 has a lot to look forward to.
