  1. Has anyone watched the preview for the new Street Fighter movie yet? I checked it out earlier and wanted to see what others think about the direction they’re taking. It looks like they’re leaning into an action comedy style. At first I wasn’t sure how that would work, but honestly I think action comedy is probably the best way to really handle these larger-than-life characters. The tone feels like it fits the energy of the games without trying to turn everything too serious or gritty. The music actually gets me pumped up and wanting to play again! What do you all think? Is action comedy the right move, or would you prefer something more grounded? And how do you feel about the cast and the fight scenes they teased?
  2. My daughter says she likes the song called Popular. Now I know a little more about the music lol
  3. I really like the direction they're going with both Superman and Supergirl. I'll admit, I haven't been a huge fan of the other movies, but I'm on board with the new direction so far.
  4. It looks promising! Seemed to have a cool sci-fi theme to it and not your ordinary superhero movie. I'll definitely see it in theaters with the kids.
  5. I'm going to go watch it right now!
  6. Cool I'll give it a shot! I still haven't seen Daredevil or Punisher series lol I'm waaaay behind
  7. Rambo First Blood there's a Christmas tree in the police station😂
  8. That's awesome! I wish comics were still 20 cents lol
  9. Honestly, I'll watch anything with Nicolas Cage 😂
  10. I have been thinking a lot about how people build and enjoy their collections, so I figured this would be a good place to start a discussion. I recently moved back to physical books after years of mostly reading digital. For years I felt that physical books simply took up too much space, but there is something about having the actual book in hand that feels right. I have been picking up collected editions and volumes instead of single issues so I can reread them more easily. My current shelves include Preacher, Gideon Falls, Watchmen, The Walking Dead, Geiger, Junkyard Joe, Locke and Key, Department of Truth, Farmhand, and a few others I am slowly rebuilding. I also have a growing stack of volume ones from different series from Image, Vault, Dark Horse, Marvel, DC, etc. I like starting with the first volume to see if it pulls me in enough to buy the rest. It has created a little reading queue that keeps getting bigger. I always look for used books too. I like giving them another life on my shelf and it feels like I am helping preserve physical media in a small way. I have been teaching my kids the value of having something real that you can hold. It is a different experience than reading on a screen. I am also building a small creative studio and I want it surrounded by books. Having shelves around me feels inspiring in a way digital files never could. One of my hobbies is hunting around places like 2nd and Charles, thrift stores, and other local bookstores. Finding a good copy in the wild is part of the fun. Curious how everyone else approaches this. Do you read mostly digital or physical? Do you collect singles, trades, omnibuses, or a mix? Do you prefer new copies or used? How do you store or display your collection? Would love to hear what everyone is doing with their setup.
  11. I've been moving back to physical for books like this and will probably order it today.
  12. I just now looked this up and it looks amazing! I'll order it as soon as I finish reading Gideon Falls.
  13. Sometimes it's almost unplayable with all the cheating. I used to play with my son a lot but it was difficult.
  14. Yes Primal Rage! This would be fun to play with updated graphics.
  15. Now that's mischievious LOL
  16. Yep! The way I see it is everything is getting so expensive these days we may as well buy things that we can spend hours getting lost in and enjoying.
  17. That's the type of game you can spend countless hours in and never really get bored. I love games like that!
  18. I agree. It's totally worth the price tag when you consider how much you will play it. Countless hours is definitely worth $100 or more. I just don't like buying a game and then having to pay for DLC, but that seems to be the norm these days.
  19. Wow 3 days! That's dedication! It does sound like a fun experience though.
  20. Yep! That would be a great one to see again!
  21. I would have to say Deadpool! You would never know what to expect from that guy and it would likely be very inappropriate for Christmas lol
  22. I've been meaning to get into this one. My friends at the comic book shop I frequent always tell me it's a great series. I may have to get a few trade paperbacks or a compendium if it's out yet and catch up.
  23. I'm actually enjoying the new direction they're going. Maybe in the past it would have been nice to bring back, but I think it's better left behind now.
