Remastered Pokemon game collection for 2026.

Featured Replies

To the editors and staff at ComicBook.com,

I'm writing as a longtime fan of the Pokémon franchise with a suggestion I believe many other fans would be excited about. With the 30th anniversary of Pokémon approaching, I think it would be fantastic to see a remastered collection of the classic games from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance eras.

Imagine having a single collection that includes Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald. Releasing these games with updated graphics and quality-of-life improvements on a modern console would be a wonderful way to honor the series' history and introduce a new generation of players to the games that started it all.

Thank you for considering this fan feedback.

Sincerely,

A dedicated Pokémon Fan

I think these would have to be full-fledged remakes if we're talking about games from the Game Boys and DS, given the architecture. It's not like they can't do it; Nintendo's done it for Link's Awakening, Mario vs DK, etc. It's definitely possible, but they'd have to be remakes and they'd have to be working on them right now to be available in time for the anniversary.
